FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What is Ombré Powder?

A. Ombré Powder Brows utilizes the gradient “light to dark” shading technique to create a subtler and more natural, but defined eyebrow look. The lighter front is faded to a darker crisp tail for complete healed “filled-in” appearance that saves 10-20+ minutes each morning of makeup application time. With Ombré Powder, you can choose to wake up and go, with or without the rest of your make up.

It is a buildable technique to achieve the desired look without being invasive to the skin and it is a great technique for correction brows (brows with old microblading, faded and abnormal color, or unsymmetical shape).

Q. What is the difference between Ombré Powder and Microblading??

A. Ombré Powder is a refined tattoo technique that mimics the filled brow effect, which can be done with a machine depositing pigment or manually stippling pigment into the dermis layer of the skin to create a defined shaped.

Microblading is a technique which uses hand held blades to create additional hair strokes that blend in with the natural eyebrow hair to create a fuller look.

Q. Does it hurt?

A. Pain is minimal, if any, as pain tolerance varies from person to person. Numbing topical anesthetics are applied before and during procedure to provide comfort to each client should they feel any pain or discomfort.

Q. How long does it last?

A. It generally lasts 1-3 years; however, yearly maintenance is recommended for fresh color and shape.

Q. Do you do touch ups for color and shape if we already have tattooed eyebrows?

A. If you already have eyebrows done by another artist, they are not considered touch ups here at Arch to End. We only provide touch up services for eyebrows done by our artist/technician; otherwise, it would be considered Corrective Brow services, which are only accepted on a case by case basis. Pictures must be emailed to caroline@archtoend.com for an assessment and brief consultation to see what type of corrective services are need. Examples: discoloration of red, blue, gray hues, unsymmetical shapes, etc. Please note that not all corrective services can be accepted.

Q. Is the procedure permanent or semi-permanent?

A. It is classified as a permanent cosmetic procedure or permanent make up; however, the pigments are not deposited deeply into the skin which allows it to fade over time for a softer brow.

Q. Do you do in person consultations?

A. Unfortunately, I do not do in person consultations.

Q. What if my complimentary touch up is scheduled after the designated 6-8 weeks (new brows) or 8-12 weeks (corrective brows)?

 A. Your complimentary touch up appointment will be made at the end of the initial procedure date. It is generally scheduled so that it allows clients a week or two of wiggle room should they need to reschedule. If it is scheduled after the touch up designated times, then it will be subjected to varying costs, which will depend on how long after the initial procedure it is.

Q. What should I expect at the appointment?

A. Generally, the first hour of the appointment would be filling out our consent forms, questionnaires, and going over make up style and routine. We would discuss what type of shape, style, and color that you want. The next step is the brow mapping of your facial features and pre-draw of how the desired eyebrow. The procedure will begin once you are completely satisfied with the shaping.
